Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Summer Binges

I’m really looking forward to summer, but I have to admit that I’m not looking forward to trying to navigate all of my streaming services. At our house, we have access to Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, so we have a lot of choices. Problem is, I can’t figure out what I want to watch. I have one show picked out and that’s it!

TheMagiciansHP.jpgBut, first, I want to tackle the latest season of The Magicians. Why? Well, because it’s somehow managed to become a good show. I have no idea how that happened because I wasn’t expecting it to be so good. I expected it to be juvenile–something you might watch to pass time, no other reasons. White noise. But, there are some really great themes within the episodes of the show. The characters are all great (some you love to hate and some you hate to love), the premise is incredibly fun, and I really need a good sci-fi fix.

But, if you haven’t started the show, be warned that it airs on the Sy-fy network. They are notorious for cancelling shows (**Ahem…** HAVEN) after three or four seasons and The Magicians is already a few seasons in.

Do any of you have any binges planned for summer break? Obviously I need some shows to carry me over until the next season of Outlander starts…because I’m really starting to miss the show and I have a sinking feeling there might not be many more seasons coming.

  1. I love The Magicians! Although, with so many shows out now I had to cancel all my recordings of the last season to make room on the DVR, lol. So thank goodness, it’s on Netflix. I love Outlander as well. I kind of just like the first two seasons, but season three was incredible. What a story line for that season. So good and so heartbreaking at the same time.
I have been catching up on so many shows I fell behind on recently. There’s almost too many shows out now, even for me, a TV Nerd, lol.
